BEIJING, December 19 (TMTPOST) –- The Learning & Strong Nation App, operated by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, dismissed a report on the planned launch of China’s first national state-owned ride-hailing service app as “inaccurate” on Thursday afternoon.

　　Earlier on Thursday, the Department of Transport had denied its involvement in the development and impending launch of the app, which was touted as a country-wide app by Beijing Daily, a newspaper under the direct leadership of the Municipal Commission of the CPC. The report immediately went viral on social media as the app was seen as a potential archrival to Didi, a private ride-hailing service platform. The report has been deleted from the website of the local daily.  

　　The project has been jointly developed by Strong Nation app and China Transport Communication Information Center, a division of the Department of Transport, according to a statement by the Strong Nation app. It is not a country-wide ride-hailing app and it is not even an app. It is just a mini-program based on “Freight Itinerary Tool” at the State Council’s users’ end.      

　　The Learning & Strong Nation platform, launched in January 2019, aims to spread Xi Jinping New Times Socialist Thoughts with Chinese Characteristics among members of the CPC, the public sector and the society on the whole. The platform can be reached through computers and cellphones. In December 2020, the platform is accessible on television.

　　The Learning & Strong Nation platform has been connected to third-party platforms, including“Pandemic-related Health Code,”“1905 Cinema Network”, “Online Clinic.”Users can click on the mini-program to get services.

　　The person in charge of the platform under the Publicity Department stressed that they are ready to offer learning resources and convenient services to over 300 million users, making China strong in terms of culture, technologies, transport, education and health.
